Home Learning Information

Ten days of learning have been prepared in a home learning pack for each year group. You will understand that replicating the exact classroom learning environment at home is not going to be possible. This is a unique situation and the amount of work children complete will vary depending on their home learning situation. We have varied the tasks and included a number of open-ended task options so that you, as parents and carers, can choose the most appropriate for your child each day.

We would  advise that most home learning is completed in the morning, when children are usually able to perform at their best, however we understand that this might not always be possible with working parents and childcare arrangements.

We fully appreciate the challenges for you to ensure your children are safe at home and can complete their daily studies with support from family and friends. During this rare event, we would want your children to feel secure and reassured that everyone is doing their best to look after them.

Time allocations guidelines:

EYFS – 1 hour a day plus lots of play and exploration

Year 1 – 2 hours a day plus lots of play and exploration

Year 2 – 2 hours a day

Year 3 – 3 hours a day

Year 4 – 3 to 4 hours a day

Year 5 – 3 to 4 hours a day

Year 6 – 4 hours a day
