At Palm Bay, we aim to promote the moral, social, cultural, emotional, mental and physical development of our pupils and to prepare each child for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.
Our Personal, Social, Health Education and Citizenship programme has clear aims and objectives, which are to enable children to:
- Develop responsibility, consideration, respect, self-esteem, independence, and a sense of fairness and an understanding of their role in society.
- Develop social and emotional skills in order to respect, live and work with others.
- Listen to and respect different opinions and views.
- Develop the skills to become active, healthy and valued citizens who understand and accept moral codes in society.
P.S.H.E.C. is delivered through a variety of teaching and learning strategies which take into account the age, development and needs of pupils. Opportunities for learning include stories, assemblies, circle time, collaborative work, morning messages, School Council, debates and drama.
