Summer Learning Opportunities and Resources

The school is not setting work for over the Summer holidays however, the following resources have been collated for families to use over the Summer should they wish to do so.

The Summer Reading Challenge 2020 launched on Friday 5th June and you can join the Silly Squad on a new adventure by setting your own personal reading challenge to complete this summer.

Create a free profile to keep track of your books, reviews, and all of the special rewards you unlock along the way. You’ll also find heaps of super silly activities, quizzes, videos, games and more to keep you entertained at home.

This year’s Challenge runs from June to September, so there is plenty of time to take part and get silly this summer.

Our friends at Wildwood have developed a series of FREE worksheets and activities featuring native British wildlife, which are based on the National Curriculum and appropriate for your child’s year level.

Inspired by the animals at Wildwood these education packs are aimed at both KS1 and KS2 level. The booklets are full of puzzles, challenges and many different activities including masks, finger puppets and mobiles.

For older children, please take a look at the ‘Adaptations’ and ‘Habitats’ resources which are aimed at KS2 level.

If you would like additional structured lessons Oak National Academy have new lessons being added each day. You can search under each subject per year group.
